CPO in charge of product strategy
Finding someone with clear responsibility for product strategy in a business is not always easy. Most companies distribute this function across several staff members with individual roles in product management, including product managers, development managers, production managers and service managers.
Even as these executives attend to product management, the area of product strategy may be neglected, with no individual responsible for this at any level of the company.
The alternative is to appoint a CPO (Chief Product Officer), who is responsible for product strategy and understands its significance from the perspectives of finance, innovation, sales, marketing and lifecycles.
Does your business need a CPO? Does this requirement outweigh the need for some other roles? We can help you build such a role into your business, or use it to formulate a valuable product strategy culture for your company.
